History

Built in the 1950’s, Dennis The Food Engine began its journey as a fire truck in Cape Town. Upon its retirement from the Fire Department, Dennis was converted into a coach bus to transport Visitors between wine estates in Stellenbosch.

As more efficient vehicles emerged, Dennis was forced into a second retirement until its rediscovery in 2016 when its transformation into a food truck began.

Dennis has been in service as a food truck in Sunningdale since January 2019
